Grain SA personnel and executive members represent producers at various industry forum affecting the wheat industry, including the Wheat Forum, Wheat Steering- and JSE Advisory committee. GSA also represents grain producers at the Agriculture- and Agro-processing Master Plan (AAMP) committee.

Assisting producers with more effective and accurately calculated producer-based parity prices providing more transparency and contributing to better decision making by groundnut producers. This includes more accurate and in-time producer derived prices for local producer stock.
Cultivar Breeding & Evaluation

Involved in coordinating groundnut cultivar evaluation.

General Regulatory Aspects

Monitoring general regulatory aspects with an impact on the market to ensure changes and developments implemented, do not negatively impact producers. This includes changes in grading guidelines, regulatory aspects influencing the trade of groundnuts and food safety.

Grain SA supported an application to implement import tariffs on peanut butter.

In discussions with the Japanese government as well as local authorities regarding the 10% import tariff that Japan imposes on SA's groundnuts.
